Can't find what you need?
Engineering isn’t a one-size-fits-all proposition. We can customize nearly everything we sell, from modifying housings and mechanical interfaces to fine-tuning performance parameters. Interested in custom assemblies?
Engineering Services doesn’t stop with design. Motion Solutions serves as a specialty production house. Customers who visit our facility find our engineers and assembly technicians building very complex electromechanical subsystems, in volume, month after month. We offer light manufacturing, build subassemblies to suit, and manufacture any subsystem that our design group has developed. With a 36,000 ft.² primary production facility fully staffed with motion experts, we work with customers to build parts and assemblies to whatever level they need.
We have represented many of our manufacturing partners for decades. This experience gives us great expertise with their components. We maintain strong relationships with the factory engineers, which allows us to not only get the most out of the standard products, but to customize them to create an even better solution. As a distributor, we can also take advantage of deep discounts. Because we buy direct, we are able to minimize delays, whether for getting detailed cost quotes or receiving the equipment in house.
Our light manufacturing services encompass simple projects such as assembling two or three components. Even though these subassemblies may appear simple, they are often critical to the performance of the final product. In response, our engineers and assembly technicians bring the same attention to detail to these projects as we apply to our clean-sheet designs.
We conduct these projects according to our five-step product-development process. Personnel follow detailed procedures for alignment, assembly, and testing. Every assembly we build undergoes strict quality-assurance testing and inspection, and devices ship with the appropriate paperwork. This documentation can include final inspection records, certificates of conformance, and material and plating certifications as required. Customers can be confident of receiving 100% usable product.
Build to Print
In these days of tight staffing, outsourcing provides a way to streamline assembly while cutting cost and reducing scrap. Building precision motion assemblies requires a very specific skill set, however. At Motion Solutions, our experienced staff has the expertise and the equipment to build even the most complex customer-designed subassemblies to the tightest tolerances. We work with the customer to establish specifications and testing protocols up front. We build prototypes to test the process and work any bugs out of the system. Our policy of 100% testing ensures that every component delivered to the customer is ready to be installed in the final product.
Custom Engineered Solutions
Once our engineering services team finishes with a design, we can easily transfer it over to manufacturing. This allows the customer to take advantage of the cost and sourcing benefits that our distribution business provides. Our expertise in designing these complex mechanisms translates to expertise in manufacturing and assembly. This equips us to build complicated systems to a high standard of quality.
