Lassen (MSL) Linear-Motor Stage

The Lassen (MSL) linear-motor stage is an integrated actuator aimed at light- to medium-duty industrial applications such as sample handling and pipette positioning. The stages are based on ironless linear motors for motion free of cogging. The combination of motor and crossed-roller bearings enables the MLS to deliver high-speed and high-precision performance. Despite the use of ironless motors, MLS stages still exhibit peak forces as high as 47.6 N.
