Challenge: Components that produce high torque are large and expensive and not ideal for applications where space is a concern. This customer required a very high torque output in a small package.
Solution: We utilized our design skills for creative and unique packaging were to ensure proper precision and torque output. We used a high ratio, high torque cycloidal gearbox with a frameless motor for the input to provide high torque in a short stack length.
Result: We were able to design the product specifically to meet our customer’s specific needs as opposed to parts that were already available on the market. The product was successfully made, tested, and accepted by the customer for its intended use.
