Challenge:
The customer is performing inspection on silicon wafers. This requires a high level of repeatability in both axes of motion so that the measurements taken are consistent wafer to wafer. Time to market was very important to this OEM.
Solution:
Motion Solutions was able to leverage a standard actuator design and make minor modifications to shorten the development cycle. We integrated a custom screw (higher accuracy class than standard) to deliver the required repeatability and modified the strokes to meet system requirements.
Result:
The measurement and inspection OEM was able to get a new product offering to market in record time with the performance specifications required.
